Unusual Error Codes - Related? Fix?

Terry Stafford

I got these codes this morning while trying to capture a construction progression project. Air 2S, RC-N1, iPhone 15 Pro Max. I eventually went home and a new new Air 2S and controller and got the captures. But I don't particularly want to throw this failed Air 2S away. These errors don't necessarily come up at the same time.

DL just reports the DJI errors. The encoder error can be an issue with the drone but you may want to do a firmware refresh first. If that doesn’t fix the issue then it may need to be sent in for repair. The camera start capture failure can be due to the camera not set correctly. Check the camera settings in the DJI Fly app to make sure it is not set to something like AEB, burst, smart photo or other. If it is then it won’t work until you set it to intervals or I believe it may work if set to single photo.

Thanks Mike. In any case, it's inconsistent. The mission starts, flies for maybe a minute, the errors pop up, and the mission aborts. I can restart the mission, it starts normally from where it left off, then it happens again. I executed an RTH, restarted the drone, and went through the whole thing again. I always check the firmware before going out on a job. Luckily I've got another Air 2S and got the job done. I'm looking into repair shops now. There's nothing here locally. Thank for your feedback.

I understand the firmware is up to date but my suggestion was to do a firmware refresh using the DJI Assistant 2 (consumer drone series) PC software. I always use the software to update my drones and it’s the only way to do a refresh, (reinstall) of the firmware. It does t take long and that will eliminate the possibility of corrupted firmware. Even if it doesn’t fix issue I’d do that first since it cost you nothing before sending in for possible repair.
