RTH altitude after mission
Situation:
After the mission is complete at last waypont very near Home/Takeoff, altitude is 150 feet. Then RTH is activated, RTH is 1000 feet, and aircraft ascends to 1000 feet. Then navigates the short distance to Home/Takeoff, and proceeds with landing.
This is not the desired outcome since I don't need to fly from 150 feet to 1000 feet when mission is complete.
Preferred outcome:
After the mission is complete, last waypont is near home, altitude is 150 feet; RTH is activated, RTH maintains last altitude until Home/Takeoff is reached, aircraft descends.
If aircraft loses reception, I want high altitude to try and regain reception.
If aircraft is low on battery, I want a safe/minimum altitude because I don't want to expend the battery ascending/descending.
Thank you.

Just add a final waypoint within 20m of the home point and it will just land (this behavior is baked in to DJI’s firmware and we have no control over it).
Other then what Jim recommended, Is there a reason why you set the RTH to 1,000’. Depending on your situation I’d set it to 150’ or whatever is needed to stay above all obstacles in that area. It can be changed within seconds easily in the DL mobile app just before flight. Otherwise just set it to hover at he completion of the mission instead of RTH and then return manually. Just some thoughts. Enjoy.
