DJI Onboard Waypoints - Total Created Waypoints
It is stated on the DJI website that the drones can support up to 200 waypoints but during the dronelink conversion process it can generate well over that number of waypoints which causes the controller to freeze or crash and not gather the required data. It would be nice in a future update that the conversion process only creates up to 200 waypoints total. Over half of the generated waypoints are not needed. I have been manually going in and deleting waypoints to get the number below the supported total which does not seem to affect the flight. While that is a workaround some missions can create hundreds of waypoints and that is when it starts to get frustrating.

In the meantime you can change the spacing during conversion.
Thanks for that suggestion. It does save that manual process.
I run mostly path missions and I set the spacing to anywhere from 200’ to 500’ depending on the plan. Also if you change the spacing value it will update the plans so you can actually see what it will look like before clicking finish conversion. If not enough or too many it can change the actual paths flight path. This way you can try different spacing values to see what may work best. It will also indicate how many total waypoints on the mission card. Enjoy.
