Standardise the start point of multiple orbit points in a DroneLink mission

Meng Lee Lim

Good day,

I'm working on organizing a large batch of orbit points in a Dronelink mission. Is there a way to set the start point of each orbit at 0° (North on the map) while maintaining a 90° relative orientation toward the POI (facing into the POI) — without manually adjusting each orbit point in the planner?

Kind regards,
Lee

Theoretically possible with scripting, but this is only available in the Enterprise plan.

I may be misunderstanding this but when you create any Orbit the actual start point is always at north. It’s easy to see because when you open any plan in the DL Web app the map is always north up. There are a couple ways to verify this. If you create a new Orbit it places the start point, (purple marker) right under the center, POI location. When you run the mission preview it will fly the approach straight to the start of the Orbit which is indicated at 0° north. Also if you add more Orbits in the same plan the starting point will also be at north. If you run the mission preview you will see when it arrives at the actual starting point of each orbit and then rotates to the center of the orbit, (POI) it will indicate its facing 180° which is south. So obviously north is opposite of that. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the application but maybe this will help.
