Error message "Gimbal Orientation Failed", how to remove this component or make it not required in autonomous flight plans

Joseph DeFrank

Greetings:  Using a DJI Matrice 600 pro/GL858A controller/Moto g Play mobile 2024 with And.#14 without a camera/gimbal.  The M600 pro is rigged with an independent research spot sprayer with radio control on/off.  Mission flight stops with "Gimbal Orientation Failed" message.  Simply, how do I "remove this component or make it not required" in waypoint missions?  I'm new to Drone link but need to spot spray trees for research on pest control and nuisance fruit remove.  Thanks.

The M600 isn’t officially support, but having said that, can you share the mission plan?

    Hi Jim:

I have attached an orbit flight plan.  The drone moved to the edge of the circle and stopped before rotating and issued the gimbal failure message.

    https://www.hawaii.edu/filedrop/dl/AQhaX-bsONc-ggzOQ-nNWWg/   Link good till 03/06/25 12:22 HST.

Also, the satellite images in Dronelink seem to lack resolution.  How can I get the highest level of satellite resolution in Dronelink?

There is no way to disable the gimbal command with using Orbit components unfortunately. Waypoints won't do it, but again, we don't test any of this on that drone.
