Start video capture at takeoff, stop after landing?

Jake

How do I start video capture at takeoff?

How do I stop video after landing?

I am using Mission Planning, waypoints, and an orbit.

Automatic video capture has a problem I'm avoiding.  Adding an orbit to a waypoint route/path will also split the video capture into separate files.  I want a continuous video capture file for the entire route/path, no splits, single file.  I want the video capture start at takeoff, and stop at landing.

Intuitively, I thought that would be "plan settings", as this is the map mark for both the start/takeoff and finish/landing of the mission plan.

Thank you.

Hi Jake. Check your other post on how to capture at execution of mission until completion. It can’t continue recording until it lands back at Home-point because once the mission has ended Dronelink is no longer in control. One thing you could do if you want the video to continue till the end is place more waypoints and have it returns back to the take-off location. Other than that you could just start capture manually right after the mission ends but it would be a new section of video. Since the drones is returning straight back to you I’m not sure why you would need this part recorded but pilots choice.

You could also just tap the shutter button on the flight dashboard and record manually. Just need to remove all the camera commands from the mission.

What I finally did for the solution is add two waypoints right next to the takeoff/landing location.  The first to start recording, the last to end recording.  This also means the start/finish is crowded with 3 points on the map.

Ideally, I would prefer a single point on the map that "sets" the mission, including the start/finish configuration parameters.  Similar to Orbit, where there's arrival/departure configuration.
