Mission stuck at aligning - rotation problem most likely
I fly Autel drone for which support is experimental only, but anyway, I wanted to share the issue I am quite often observing while flying missions with Dronelink.
My missions are quite often stuck at the beginning of the mission itself or the mission element - like orbit after waypoints, etc. I have today spent about 1,5 hours flying two various missions and decided to do some more debugging than usual. Both missions were problematic at some point - the drone was stuck aligning. I followed the details of what was happening and while position and altitude were achieved quickly, the drone was not able to rotate to the required heading. I could see misalignment degrees reducing to 6 degrees and it could not reduce further. I just nudged the joystick to help the rotation and it worked - the drone moved to the next step and finished the complete mission with no issues. I have replicated the problem, again being stuck at aligning, and again the solution was to manually rotate for a couple of degrees (I believe it is always 6 degrees, but I haven't any record for it).
I figured out, that I have to manually rotate it, so it is no longer a mission stopper, but just wanted to check if I should maybe submit a bug report. Is there any setting in the app to allow for some higher misalignment at the mission/mission element start? I don't fly anything important and the drone behaves properly after alignment is finished, so a small rotation error at the start is not a big problem for me. However, without manual correction, the drone is stuck trying to align forever. Sometimes mission restart helps, and sometimes it does not.

This is exactly why we notate the support as experimental. Unfortunately, Autel isn't willing to do what it takes to update their SDK to correct the issue, and we can't fix it from our side without their support, so we've basically given up on it.
