Dear Sir

I have a DJI mini pro 3 which we use for building inspections.

Because of the limited camera resolution the drone needs to be flown at close range to the building and what we really need is to be able to fly an automated grid mission with the drone set to fly at a low height (say 5 metres) and to then use the obstacle avoidance to enable the drone to fly upwards when an obstacle is encountered so that the drone flies a constant distance above the top surface of the building.

Is Dronelink able to facilitate a grid mission of this type and, if so, how ?

You don’t need to fly that close to anything. The camera will give you incredible resolution photos at much higher altitude. You will need a Hobbyist Elite plan to perform grid pattern mapping. The Obstacle Avoidance is not controlled by the DL app, it’s the drone which handles this. I would not take a chance that close to objects but it’s pilot responsibility if you do. Never trust any OA with any drone especially with a drone which has no 360° sensing. Even then I never trust it. When you set up the mapping mission you can set a Target Distance so the GSD will be correct and not based on the ground elevation but the top of a building. I suggest going through many of the DL help articles for more information.
