Error: Cannot communicate with Gimbal

Brandon Fuller

Hello,

While flying a mapping mission with a DJI Mavic Mini on a Google Pixel 4, I'm having repeated failures when rotating the Gimbal to -90 degrees. When it gets to this step, I get an error along the lines of "can not communicate with the gimbal". I can rotate the gimbal manually with no problem using the remote, but the automatic rotation of the gimbal during the flight plan is not functioning. This error is persistent, and I have had it work correctly only once and that was but landing the drone and turning it off and on repeatedly. The firmware of the drone and the app are all up to date. Here is a link to the flight plan: https://app.dronelink.com/joshua-fuller/fun-flights/plan/2IoiANvHMKQ7phE8b2jR/FE7FLsPqZL2eEuAn5fRL

Thank you for the help.

Brandon

I should note that the same error occurred with another mapping flight plan at another location, so I do not think it has anything to do with how the flight plan is set up itself.

Hey Brandon, try setting the pitch to -89.0 and see if the drone still throws that error.

I just tried that, and I'm getting the same error. I've made plenty of other maps with no problems, and this is a recent development. I haven't changed anything from the previous maps I've made.

Here is a screenshot of the error. Reseting the drone has only worked once, but then I got an error that it couldn't communicate with the camera. https://photos.app.goo.gl/npU1NW1EAGZWPVBL8
