anyone using the above for dronelink with smooth success ?

i ran 3 missions on mine no more than 150 yards away and the video onscreen was poor ,laggy and jerky.

im sure this new device is well up to the job maybe i am missing something important .

We regularly test that device without issues.

Are you able to get reliable video feed when the drone is just sitting on your desk?

If the video feed only gets bad when you are flying then it means there is interference where you are. Have you tried flying in a different location?

If I recall correctly you are using the Mavic Air 2? If the issue isn't actually interference (which I don't think we have ruled out), then it is always possible that DJI is using newer code in their own app than what we have available through their SDK. In the past they have been slow to roll out updates such as hardware acceleration for the video feed from newer drones.

I'm using the same mini Ipad.  I always fly in "smooth" video transmission mode and have zero problems flying within 1/4 mile of a large cell tower.   If I switch to HD mode is always has issues.

ok so if i open the dji fly app and change the setting to smooth  do i then close the app and open the dronelink app or leave them both open ,sorry a bit confused ,also does it tell me anywhere on the dronelink app what transmission mode i am using ? thanks mike,

It’s it’s really trial and error to close or leave open the DJI fly app, before you switch to DL.  Once you switch the transmission mode to smooth in DJIfly, make sure you update your home point, then try your mission in DL.    Beta is beta, so you may have to kill fly app or may not.

Ive learned that DL follows settings in fly app such as transmission settings, I give it a try.
