Thoughts on running Dronelink on an Amazon Fire 8 HD

Chris Laframboise
I am considering getting a current Amazon Fire 8 HD tablet to run Dronelink and some other flight apps. The Fire 8 is the 10th generation with a quad core processor and 2GB RAM. I realize that the Fire tablets are nowhere near the specs of iPads but I don’t want to spend hundreds of $$$ on a tablet to fly my older drones (P3S and Spark). I currently use my iPhone XR to fly my drones and it works perfectly but would like a bigger screen and to not have to use my phone. I realize also that I would have to use the iphones WiFi as a hotspot with Dronelink and that’s ok. Just want to know if the Fire tablet specs will be ok for Dronelink as I use Dronelink frequently. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help. Chris

It will probably be fine but we haven't tested that specific device.

    Thanks for the reply, Jim.
I think I will hold off on the Fire Tablet. The only reason I want to get the tablet would be for a larger screen. It would be a single purpose device which is the reason I don’t want to spend hundreds of $$$ on a tablet, so if there is a possibility that Dronelink won’t work then it is not worth it for me. I would also want the tablet to work with GO and GO4, so not worth the chance.

Do you have a list of devices that you have tested that do work that you can link to?

    Thanks,
    Chris
