I was a long time user of Autopilot with a Phantom 3 Pro and at the time I didn't think you guys could improve it any more than it already was. Once the bugs with DJI are worked out on the MA Air 2 this app will rock. It works wonderfuI with my trusty Phantom 3.I still get a rush when I hit the ready to fly button and the Phantom takes off like a bat out of hell and starts the mission.
I see there is a new release of the Mobile SDK as of January 2. Is that the one that is supposed to correct the problem so that we can get MA2 support working? Thanks!
Do you have a cautious prediction for when we are ready to fly with our dji Mavic Air 2 with Dronelink? Here where I am, it's cold, so I just want to send my Mavic on missions ;)
Hi Ninja. I’m a newbie and this is my first mission app. It takes some time learning the basic setup but once you watch a bunch of the tutorial videos on YouTube it gets easier. I spent a little bit of time over about three weeks and figured it out. Once you have the basics down it just depends on how much of its abilities you want to utilize. I purchased the Hobbyist $40 Premium plan. The basic doesn’t really cover much so I purchased the premium plan which covers more then I need and the few more features in the Elite plan isn’t needed at this point. You can always upgrade in the future if you like it. Good luck. Hope this helps Ninja.
Ultimately there is always a risk no matter what hardware you are using. The Air 2 is not recommended because it will most likely result in a bad user experience.
It works!!! At least for me on my MA2 with a Samsung GS9. I was able to run a simple mission (2 orbits) and it worked flawlessly. I'm going to play with some progressively more complex missions over the next couple of days... I've been waiting for this since my drone arrived last May.

It mainly depends on when DJI fixes their issues, which they do not give us a timeline on.
Is it only the Mavic Air 2 that has that problem?
It affects the whole app.

Thanks for reply.
Hope you get it fixed as soon as possible so we can get out and fly missions again ;)

I'm very excited about this - I hope the new sdk works out
Looks like the V4.14 Trial2 is only for IOS right now.
So that means I need to use my iPad instead of my android phone? I could handle that

Hows the android version for the MA2 looking? I know there was an addl release not too long ago
Thanks!
No progress :(
Thanks Jim. Bummer to hear but I'm sure you guys working hard on it are more bummed.
Is there reasonable hope? Or is it a matter of time on this current sdk? Or need another release?
Thanks Arizona Wyldwest i think i will try the premium ,like you said can always upgrade if needed later on.
i am hoping to use it on my MA2 with ipad mini 5th gen cellular model.
Like I said above, we are waiting on DJI to fix some things, and they have not indicated a timeline.
Thanks Jim.
I only have an Ipad Air 2 and in the support link it said that ipad air 2 was not recommended.
Unfortunately I don't have the ability to purchase a new ipad but would like to use the waypoints.
Do I run great risk in losing/damaging drone by trying with ipad air 2?

im guessing the current ipad mini 5th gen cellular model is good to go jim ?
Yes!
Jim - thanks for the link, it gave me the answers I needed.
Godspeed with the Android =)
I appreciate the work you guys are doing.
I'm happy I can give it a go now
We uploaded the Android beta (APK, not via Google Play yet). Click the 64bit APK link in this article to download it.
