Search & Rescue: Custom Function on Temperature Alert on Mavic Dual FLIR
DJI allows for drawing a box while using the thermal camera. In that box it shows highest temp, lowest temp, and average temp. It also allows setting an alert notification temperature range. So if you set the range to be 80F - 105F and a temp in that range is observed inside that box, it will sound an audio alarm.
I would love it if this feature could be put into DroneLink such that during a grid mission, it would pause the drone and allow for a custom function to be triggered when a temp in that range is observed. Ideally, I'd like the ability to have the drone center on the "hot spot" and fly an orbit around it, capturing video, and then proceed on the rest of the grid mission, repeating this for any other hot spots found.
This would be useful for Search and Rescue type operations where a grid mission is flown in Isotherm in a wooded area, finding a heat register that matches humans (or in my desired use, bears) and then gathering footage and location data for the hot spot for analysis.

Interesting idea, but this is way beyond the scope of the current function architecture. Honestly this sounds more like a whole new app. The good news is, Dronelink has an SDK just for that if you are interested in creating it!
I am absolutely interested in creating it! Thank you for pointing out that SDK. Once I get my sea legs with DroneLink I will start digging into the SDK.
Note that right now, the SDK is only available for Enterprise accounts.
Ah, got ya. Based on the "contact us" I'm going to guess that will cost more than $50 a month. Assuming I paid that until I developed the custom app, would I have to continue to pay the enterprise subscription to use the app I created?
The enterprise accounts typically cost significantly more than the growth account. We handle the pricing and terms for each enterprise account on a case by case basis which is why we have the contact us option.
Okay great, I'll send you guys an email to see if this might be a possibility.
