Mavic Air 2 SDK

Mike (Arizona Wyldwest) Dronelink Expert Dronelink Expert

I heard the date for DJI releasing the SDK for MA2 was November 29th, 2020. I understand this is an approximate release date. I am curious if Dronelink has heard anything new on if it will be released soon. If so is there an approximate date for getting the MA2 added to Dronelink. It have the Mavic Mini but really want Dronelink for my MA2. Just started about two weeks ago but it is an amazing system. Looking forward to using it on MA2 eventually.

Thanks for any new information.
Mike

DJI has now released the 4.14 SDK on their site with support for the Mavic Air 2: https://developer.dji.com/mobile-sdk/

We tried it yesterday (on iOS) and there seems to be a bug in the DJI SDK that causes the app to immediately crash. We reported it to DJI and they are investigating.

Jim, thanks for taking a look at it so quickly. I'm eager to start using DroneLink with my MA2!

Yes, thanks for the quick attention, Jim. We've been waiting a long time and successful use of the MA2 should increase Dronelink's subscriber base substantially. I will certainly expand my account once my MA2 works with Dronelink. This mapping with manual flights is tough work!

Anything known about support SDK for waypoints?

Dronelink uses virtual stick so it has full support.

But is it possible to support this SDK for waypoints? Or only virtual sticks?

The documentation doesn't say, and we haven't implemented onboard compatibility yet so we have no easy way to test it.

We tried it but it was too buggy, so we had to pull it back. Please post beta discussion here.
