Timelaps other camera commands without takeoff?
Hi
Totally new. I want to test as much as possible before any flight.
Instead of taking off and play with the camera commands and capabilities of Dronelink in sky, is it possible to test some of the commands of the camera only, without taking off.
Say for instance I want to put the drone on a table with a sunset view. Will it be able to do a e.g. programmed time-laps or Bracket exposures with power on but No Takeoff?
Thank you so much!

Hi Berend,
I am checking my setup commands - organized in the list components - on such manner that I am generating a flight plan which contains only those list components. Before my flight I am executing this flight pan. Of curse the drone is switched on, but satays on the ground. After it I am starting th DJI Fly application and I am checking the drone, camera and video setups, Safety parameters and Transmission frequency. If everything is O.K. I am killing the DJI Fly app and start my Dronelink mission. To be honest to you I never tried to execute a start capture command within my settings, but I guess it is 99% that the drone will execute it without start the propellers!
Cheers,
Gábor
If your plan only has commands, it will not takeoff. You should remove your props anway.
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated!!
"You should remove your props anway." sounds like 99% it will work. 1% it might not.
I have a Mavic Mini so removing props will be a bummer.
Worst case scenario is what?
Drone want to take off and I must just pull down on sticks or just let it take off and take control of the drone again by moving the sticks.
It will 100% work if you only put commands in your plan. If you accidentally put a motion component (Path, Destination, Rotation, Map, etc) then it will attempt to takeoff. You might want to just try it once outside to prove it to yourself.
Thanks Jim and Gabor. I did think that the 1% might be just for in case I might be screwing up with the programming. Great product and I hope you do well with it!!
