Android version 2.2.0(2141) - Mavic Air 2

THIS IS NOT A BUG. Read below.

Good morning,

today I tested this mission:  https://app.dronelink.com/raffaello-di-martino/vicino-casa/plan/uiFQ3LYcqrWoAqsOPQWe/2loDTNBnvO8LDIqZ2hlS

It failed two times and you can see the videos here:

First error:  Drone Low Battery Warning | 20% | Not supported

https://youtu.be/30i8bVU88wQ

The second error has not been recorded but was regarding the photo shot in HDR mode:

Camera Photo Type | HDR | Camera received invalid parameters

I can say that the components I use to record video and take photos have been always the same.

Another malfunction relates to the gimbal: it never worked to follow waypoints.
As you can see on the pianification, the path should have pointed to archaeological excavations and then take a photo too.

Second video: https://youtu.be/DHTUyIcBjq4

It must also be said that this is the first time I have used the pathing mode in straight.

Between the first and the second attempt, after removing the "battery warning", I ran a "Verify" but it didn't warn me of the problem I would have had on HDR shooting mode.

What does the verify mission do?
Can I suggest to do a real verification test with the real drone by sending all the parameters without engaging the motors?

In this way we would find out which parameters are invalid without reaching the middle of the mission and aborting.

Yes I know that there is the "Required" field that can be disabled.

Test fields contiditions:

Never had same problems with previous build 2.2.0(2137)

Thank you

Drone Low Battery Warning | 20% | Not supported

We made a decision to make the default failure mode for commands disengage instead of failing the whole mission (failing the whole mission was admittedly brutal). Now the mission planner has control over the exact behavior by setting the required checkbox and the required failure mode drop down. As part of this change, we removed the piece of code that masked the product does not support this feature error (which comes from the DJI SDK) because otherwise the mission planner would never realize they had planned a mission with a command that wasn't actually working, which could be dangerous in some scenarios.

Camera Photo Type | HDR | Camera received invalid parameters

We haven't tried HDR on the MA2, but it is possible that like the Mavic Pro 2, you need to select eHDR instead.

but it didn't warn me of the problem I would have had on HDR shooting mode

Verification missions are intended to verify the flight path. As such, they remove all commands and fly the drone with the nose pointed forward along the path to take advantage of the obstacle avoidance sensors.

Can I suggest to do a real verification test with the real drone by sending all the parameters without engaging the motors?

This is already possible by planning a mission that only has commands.

Thank you for the answer, Jim.

I am now testing the controls without activating the motors:

Verification missions are intended to verify the flight path. As such, they remove all commands and fly the drone with the nose pointed forward along the path to take advantage of the obstacle avoidance sensors.

This also explains why the gimbal was not moving during the fly. I was in Verify mode.

Without the wrapping method and using directly the SDK:

    In Camera mode: Photo

Camera Photo type works with: High Resolution but not with HDR or eHDR

    In Camera mode: Photo

Camera Focus mode is no more available

It doesn't look like the MA2 supports either of those options (from a hardware standpoint).
