App froze in map mission
i am having the same issue with Mavic Mini.
did one missions with no problem at all, but after that every map mission, drone stops in the air and just hovers and takes pictures.
app just freezes, return home button on controller works luckily. then after turning off drone and reconnecting to app (without exiting app) i can resume mission.

I was able to run this mission without issues. Do you have another (faster) device to try it with?

no, I don't have a faster device. What device did you use to test it? The mission was for educational purposes.
Samsung galaxy tab a. The only thing I can suggest is trying the same mission in a different area (like I did) to isolate the cause of the issue.
there was no problem with this mission, but it is much bigger.

Them maybe there are environmental factors at this location that cause it to fail (EM interference, etc).
