Unable-to-take-control-message-in-DJI-fly-safe-blue-authorization-zone update

Claude Paquette

Nothing has changed from this bug report;

https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051427173--Unable-to-take-control-message-in-DJI-fly-safe-blue-authorization-zone

All software/firmware updated when released on phone and drone.  Tried different phone with same result.

Now that DJI has for all intents and purposes abandoned support for the original Mavic Mini, is there any hope that this issue will be investigated?

    Are you not able to unlock the zone in DJI fly?

    DJI fly app unlocks the blue zone, then terminate DJI fly, open Dronelink, but it doesn't take control.

    Same thing when I get an unlocking licence on DJI's website.  The drone flies no problem with DJI fly app, but not with Dronelink.

    And Dronlink will work, just not in the blue zone that I live in, and where I would like to do a lot of my flying.

    Andrew - DJI Mini Flyer

    Hi! I have just encountered the exact same problem as Claude reports. I receive all necessary permissions from DJI to unlock the blue authorization zone. The Mavic Mini flies without problem in the blue zone using the DJI Fly App. Next, I close the DJI Fly app (with craft in P-mode) and open my Dronelink mission. I am mapping using Path. As my Mavic Mino approaches the blue zone I receive a Mission Flight error: “Control Override Joystick”. At this point, all I have been able to do is bring it home using RTH. I can never complete my mission (tried three times with error reported at same location in the air).

     Can anyone assist? The last posts on this topic seem to be a number of months ago now and I know many people are flying Mavic Mini with Dronelink. Thank you!

    There is no new information. Unfortunately, all this functionality is onboard the drone in DJI's code and we have no control over it.

    I think I may be unable to fly because I live in a blue zone. I have it unlocked in Fly. So there must be routines in the SDK, that allow you to unlock geo zones, if Fly does it. They're using the same SDK that dronelink uses. Does dronelink tell people they can't fly because they're in a unlocked geo zone? Have you talked to DJI SDK support Jim?
