Waypoints Question

Drone Pilot

Hello. How can I set a pause command for x amount of seconds to the drone so it stays in its location lets say 15 sec. and then continue the mission? I looked at the drone command in dronelink but I did not fine any info.

Thanks in advance for any input/information

    Add a Wait component.

You have to terminate the previous path, add the wait, then start a new path.

You need to use two path components. Finish one, do the wait, then start another.

I have already a mission with eleven waypoints. So I would have to scrap this mission and start a completely new mission to be able to accomplish what i am trying to do

Just copy/paste the current Path, and delete the proceeding waypoints from the first one, and the preceding waypoints from the second one maybe?

    Open the component navigator:

    Click new component:

    Then wait:

Thanks for responding. That is how I have been setting it. Unfortunately it does not work. When it gets to the wait componet marker it does not stop. I set in for 20 sec. to pause.

That's the problem. You can't use a wait component in a marker like that. Wait in a marker just means "wait that duration between commands" such as take a picture, wait 5 seconds, then take another picture. It does not affect the motion. If you want to do that, you have to do what I suggested.

A (stay for  x amount o sec.) command would be a great if it could added to any marker. Unfortuonely I will have to do without that wait component as I can't figure it out. Thanks for all your help and time.

Sorry, that's just not how Path / Markers work right now. Is there a reason you don't want to just have two Paths?

I just took a quick stab at showing you how to use two paths. You can modify the parameters of the second path to make it do what you want from here I think?

It is the same steps as adding the Wait component (see above), you just click Path instead.

Thank you for all this time you have taken to explain. Unortunately I still  can not replicate the way you set it up. I will talk to a friend that might help me out. Again thank you for all the time taken and great explanation. God Bless
