Incomplete Mission

Even if you don't fully lose signal, the signal can become so degraded that Dronelink is forced to disengage the mission. Next time it happens, take a screenshot of the message.

    Dear Kelley,

I am just a hobbist and learning the system, but if you look to your picture (from your mobile device) on the left upper corner you can see that the system sent you an error message: "Transmission Signal Weak". I think the drone was too far from the Remote Controller or the area had WIFI noise. If the drone has no signal for 11 second it starts automatically the "Return to Home" process.

    Best regards,

    Gábor

Except that if the drone is a mavic mini that message is always present - at least on Android devices it is.

Are you checking the Transmission Frequency and Transmission Mode before you start fly?

Jim, there was no error message everything you see on the screen is exactly as it was when the mission halted (except for the video image showing where it landed. I was less that 200 ft from the drone with a clear line of sight when this occurred. On my Galaxy S8 the message "Transmission Signal Weak" is always showing even if my phone is within 6" of the drone just as Ken K mentioned above. I've been much further away from the drone on other mission with the same "Transmission Signal Weak" message and had the mission complete with no problems. Not sure what Gábor B is referring to with regards to checking the Transmission Frequency & Mode.

If this happens again (i'm hoping that it does not) I will do my best to capture the screen as soon as I possibly can but saving my drone was my first priority when it became completely unresponsive.

    Dear Kelley,

I do not know from which country you are, but if you use a European version of Mini the Transmission Frequency 5,8 GHz is not really useable because the level of permitted signal in EU is so low that your drone will lose the signal ~ 200 feets. When I switch on my Mini it is dropping always to the state Transmission Frequency 5,8 GHz, Transmission Mode = Manual. I do need to push Manual and Auto buttons and wait for the new setup and repeat it till the drone state is not Transmission Frequency = 2,4 GHz, Transmission Mode = Auto.

I'm just assuming that you may be struggling with this problem as well.

    Gábor,

I am in the USA. I have never had to interact or touch those setting on my Mavic Mini. But it is strange that the Android devices all seem to have this issue. Like I mentioned before it does not matter how close my phone & drone are, I always get this message.
