App crashes one second after connecting

ewald endres
Hi, I just installed dronelink on my honor 10. After creating the first flightplan I tried to connect to my mavic mini. But the app is always crashing. I already created two other flightplans, restarted my phone, but still the same error. Any ideas what can be wrong? Thanks and best regards!

Did you install it from Google Play or the direct APK download? Which version are you on?

From Google Play. The version is 1.7.2 (117).

Can you uninstall it and try installing the APK directly?

Apparently it is an issue specifically with the S8 and the DJI SDK. DJI is looking into a fix, but until then we are considering rolling back a version or two on the DJI SDK to see if that corrects the issue. Will post a link to the beta APK if you want to try it.

Let me know if this beta APK works (should be build 120).

It was worth a shot. I compiled it with the previous version of the DJI SDK to see if they introduced the bug recently...apparently it has been there for a while. I will report the findings to them, but until they solve it, if you want a refund I understand.

Thank you for your help. I don't want a refund because I tried the app with another device and I really like it.

I hope that they will solve the problem soon, in the meanwhile I will try to use another smartphone. Let me know about any news. Thanks

Hello, I have the same problem. The application crashes about 1 second after turning on the transmitter. I have a Mavic Mini and a Samsung Galaxy S7. I've tried different versions of Dronelink and nothing works. Thanks for the information.

I just installed the latest beta version from Google Play (build 120) on our test S7 and it runs without any issues.

We have made DJI aware of the issues with the S8, but we have not been able to reproduce your issue on the S7. You can send crash logs to support@dronelink.com if you want, or I can cancel your account and issue you a refund if you prefer.
