Markers and Parameters

Laurence Campbell

Hi, I am new to dronelink but having fun setting up and previewing missions. I am itching to fly some, but the weather is too windy right now :(

I have setup a simple path mission with 7 waypoints, 5 POIs, and 6 markers. Initially the markers just switched POIs. Then I decided I wanted to pitch the gimbal down 15 degrees along pretty much the entire path, so I added gimbal pitch down command to the approach.

However on entry to the path, the gimbal is automatically reset to 0 degrees. So I added a marker to pitch gimbal down, but at each POI change, gimbal pitch changes again. Then I saw that there is an option to "add another parameter" to the marker, so I tried to add the gimbal pitch down 15 to the POI. However, rather than adding the parameter, it replaced the POI parameter.

So a couple of questions...
1) is that behaviour correct? If so I suggest changing the button label to "replace parameter" rather than add.
2)Is there a way to achieve my goal of keeping the gimbal pitched down long the path whilst changing POIs?

Currently gimbal pitch / drone heading are mutually exclusive from POI (which means calculate the pitch and yaw automatically).

So following a path with multiple POIs, my best bet for controlling gimbal pitch is setting the POI altitude adjustment? I think I understand now. Thanks.

Yes at the moment. If you have a POI and a gimbal pitch set it doesn't know which one should take precedence.
