DroneLink, Mini and FPV (First-person view)?
Just heard for the first time about FPV (yeah, not proud of that :-)) and looked couple of YouTube videos. Got very interested. Would solve the visibility problems with the mobile screen in a bright sunlight. Would also be fun to fly like a bird, the gimbal would follow head movements.
If I purchase some VR goggles, I guess DL can't be used with goggles? If the answer is 'Yes', I would propose FPV support to be added in DL evolution path.

Can you be more specific about what you would like to see out of the feature? You can already plug goggles in to remote controls that support HDMI output (not the mini).
Hi,
I probably was too vague, because I actually don't know specifically what is needed here to have this functionality :-D
I saw this video:

... and would like to do the same with DL SW, including the head-tracking feature. I have not any VR goggles, so I actually don't know this VR stuff too well, but I think the VR SW devides the screen in half, like shown here:
You want to do this type of workflow with manual flight or in conjunction with automated flight?
It would be fun starting with manual flight, specially if the head movement is enable the cam to go up or down.
Hi Jim, have you been able to add this feature? I think just split screen allowing to have VR experience with either manual or automated flight would be enough, even without all the controls (at least to start with)
No, you can keep up with the release notes here.
How difficult would it be to add split screen only to allow comfortable experience in the standard VR cardboard type sets? Without the head tracking etc, as this is probably a lot more complicated?
I haven't looked into it or created any estimates because it is not currently prioritized. If you are tired of waiting around and know how to write software, feel free to submit a PR to our repos on Github - the flight dashboard is all open source.
Saw this video on FPV+Lichi+Mini 1. Hoping to fly also DroneLink one day with a good headset. This would be fun and also would prevent the problems coming from a bright daylight and a small mobile screen together.

I would love to see the same VR Control via headset that Litchi provides. Can we get some votes on this? From LITCHI, " Available in all flight modes, the VR mode immerses you into a real First Person View, the video stream appears right in front of your eyes.
You also have the ability to control the gimbal by moving your head. VR mode requires a remote controller." https://flylitchi.com/help#vr-p3

Is there something specifically that you think DL can do better than Litchi, or maybe stated a different way, why use a DL implementation of this vs just using Litchi, which already has it.
Jim, I guess we are just looking for perfect software. DL provides already a lot within the customisation of the way points, way (so to speak 😁) more than Litchi, especially in the commercial packages. Some people just like using one software for everything, although with so many different applications it’s getting close to impossible.
DL is already better than Litchi. But it can be even better. It can take over Litchi customers with some additional features. This feature would enhance automation for Search and Rescue, Police surveillance, etc.
We all want to strengthen the product and grow the customer base.
How can we upvote this for the next release?
