Mavic mini owners are experiencing the weak signal message every time they fly but it does not seem to be a real problem. It has been reported a number of times.
Your mission failures are likely caused by something else.
What is the message when the mission stops?
I will have to duplicate the message later when I can and reply back to this thread.
Getting the same issue
This is the message I am getting when right after starting the mission and taking off , "unable to take control"
I took two screenshots but can't figure out how to post them here unless I have to do that from a computer rather than phone for the forum.
Was able to figure out how to post pictures from my phone
Here is another screenshot
Are you in a no fly zone, or is the drone not in P mode?
I dont think I am in a no fly zone as when I flew with the DJI fly app, it allowed me to fly in same location. I thought I had changed it in the DJI fly app to p mode first. I have to change to P mode in the DJI fly app first, correct? And make sure the app is not running in the background? I can't change to P mode from dronelink app correct?
All correct.
Thanks, any other advice on why this may be happening that I can check? Might create another mission in a different area and see if that makes a difference. In the screenshot posted earlier what is the red "r" with the signal strength after it at top of screen?
Sorry for all the questions, also could it be I need to take off exactly from the take off location or change a setting related to that? I was several feet away from point of orbit. I set take off restriction at first to specific area and then changed it to none and it did same for both.
Conocth,
Were you able to figure out the issue with yours? I have done all that has been recommended and still getting same issue. I recreated mission again to start over and still did same thing. Double checked to make sure it was in P mode in Dji fly app first. Closed DJi fly app after and still got same issue. Only other thing I know to try is to fly in different area to see if it is related to area i am trying to fly in.
Jim, I was able to get the plan to work. It appears it had to maybe do with my altitude settings either in the range as I might have had that set to 0 for minimum or it had to do with the tolerance altitude setting. I increased the altitude to above the 25ft. Tolerance and decreased the minimum altitude for the range so it would control it prior to reaching the altitude i set for flight. Thanks
Definitely need to be careful with those settings.
Hi, I have recently purchased a Mavic Air and just purchased Dronelink. A
I also just tried my first flight plan, but unfortunately I got the same error as above. I tried a few things that other users have suggested with no luck. I would like to try Scott's solution above but the altitude above 25ft is unclear to me. Where would I set that, just on take off?
... or is there other solutions to this problem out there?
