If I decide to choose 'manual settings' in the camera immediate settings for 'Approach', and the camera is not set to 'capture video' yet because I need to start recording midway down the mission,- does it mean I can set the exposure manually before I reach the recording waypoint while the mission is ongoing and the drone is on the move? Will the mission allow that manual intervention? Have I understood the whole sequence right , if not, can anyone tell me what to expect!

You can set camera settings through the UI while the mission is running.
