Mission quits on marker 4 every time Can't see why

Matthew P CASWELL

I planned this mission to make two passes around my roof.. first one takes video, second one takes pictures.  Every time it gets started and gets to the right rear corner (marker 4) it stops with the joystick message. There aren't any errors showing in the error monitor so I'm not sure what's causing it.

Any help would be appreciated.  Here's the share link.

Assume you are standing out the front when you fly? Is drone in sight when it stops? If not can you try keeping drone insight during the flight by walking around. Over that distance I would be surprised if that was the issue I recently took my controller way inside my house during a 5 min plan outside my house and couldn't cause it to disconnect and stop the plan. Can you maybe launch from front and stand at rear and see if still happens? Good luck I'm about to jump on pc and see if anything stands out in the plan...

I see you have an airport nearby (so do I, less than 4 km's away) do you get impacted with NFZ at all?

I would shift the same plan to a random location away from buildings/airports and see if it flies and if it does you know the plan is good but you either have NFZ issues or interference of some sort?

Thanks for taking the time to look it over.  I'm standing right out front across the street and have line of site for myself and the controller.  A similar mission where it goes up to 50 feet and makes a 47foot point of interest circle twice went off without a hitch. I'm stumped.

I would definitely try running the exact same plan at a different location, you can shift the plan by in the plan right clicking and selecting move reference and select whole plan rather than reference point (if you don't already know) I reckon it's interference from something. Fact it cuts out a same marker everytime is weird though and could be either interference or a flaw in the plan but you need to start ruling stuff out. Good luck!

Thanks again.. I'll move the whole mission to a neighborhood park and see what happens.

So I made a new mission, less complicated and it stops at the exact same spot as the old mission when I fly it over my house at 50'.  I went to the neighborhood park and it flew the mission without any issues at all. The only thing under that corner is my Baja Spa unless my neighbor has some kind of surveillance blocker or something that affects drones.

I have a directv dish mounted on the back wall. Wonder if DTV interferes with the signal?

That's interesting haven't considered tv signals but could well be. The occusync drones don't seem to have this issue as different tech.

I'm going to try it with parabolic reflectors installed to direct the signal to the drone and see what happens. I'm not sure if it the drone rejecting the command or if its the controller being unable to send it for some reason.

I'm also going to clone it and change the altitude and see if there's a dead spot I keep hitting.

Thanks for your time and suggestions!

    Hey Matt

You are most welcome and will be very interested to see how you go, you just might be on to something with the reflectors have never considered that as way to cement that signal to the drone might make the DL plans super stable??? Fingers crossed.

    Cheers

P.S. Not if you are into this but have been researching 3D scanning software with drone in mind (for past three days) was kind of set on Meshroom but have since found Reality Capture and Agisoft Metashape which both look much better (faster). Have you had any experience with 3D scanning software? DL looks like it is perfect match with mapping plans and vertical wall plans it can do. So far just been working on small things but am guessing you can just scale this up with a drone and get great results too?

I'll have to check them out as I have a 3d Printer.. might be fun.  I'll post up the results of my test tomorrow morning before it get hot like the surface of the sun here in Arizona.  that would be before 10am.
