native app installation

Ken Kroeker

Bought a new android tablet for use with dji-fly and dronelink but neither will install.  dji-fly does not appear for me in play store but I did download it.

When I attempt to install either one I get the app not installed message at the end of the process.

The tablet is running Android 9 and has a 64-bit Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor, 2GB ROM and 32GB storage to which I have added a 32GB sd card.

Any ideas as to why neither app will install?

Further investigation reveals that the tablet, while built on 64 bit hardware, has a 32 bit OS.  I'll return it and try again.

    I bought this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07W4NGRKZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and immediately checked to see if the OS was 64 bit - which it was. Installed both DJI-Fly and Dronelink via downloads and both seem to run fine.  Neither are offered by the play store. Can't actually fly today due to 90 km/h winds but I'll test the apps in flight as soon as I can and add a comment here.
