Mark Waypoints while flying

Lars Larsson
Is there a way to fly around manually and "mark" coordinates for later use with Destination components or Waypoints in a Path? I know this is possible with virtual drone but sometimes the map data is not accurate enough e.g when flying at low altitude near trees.

Look into the On the Fly functions.

    Hi Jim,
I use the OTF Path component a lot.
Recently, I succeeded in flying through a tree, where the branches and leaves left an "whole" of maybe 70 cm.
I carefully set the waypoint OTF, generated the mission, set speed to only 2mph and my Mavic Mini perfectly flew through the tree. Great!!!
Today I wanted to do something similar with another tree and this time, my Mavic Mini would not find the "whole" but would have flown against the tree, if I had not stopped it.
My question to you: Was it just a lucky day when it really found the way through the tree recently - can the flight be so accurate at all? I understand the waypoints are nothing else but GPS ccoordinates and as far as I know the acuracy of public GPS is only by 4 meters or so.
    Any oppinion / hint?
    Thanks in advance, Oliver
