Upgrade from hobbyist to pro question...
When upgrading from hobbyist to pro, I noticed there is a minutes limit on commercial plans/missions. Are you allowed to tell each mission if it’s for hobbyist or commercial purposes therefore allowing you to still get unlimited hobby minutes?
Thank you,
Reuben

Not in a single account, but you can sign up for a Hobbyist account and a Team account at the same time and just make sure to fly your missions under the correct account.
Thx Jim, will I need to use different email addresses?
i’d like to keep my current account as the hobbyist account and open up a new account for pro.
thank you
Reuben
You cannot currently have a hobbyist and pro account at the same time attached to the same user profile (email address). You could register a new user profile under a different email address, but then you will have to login/logout each time you want to switch between accounts. One of the benefits of the team account is that you can be a part of one or more teams, and have a hobbyist account, all attached to the same user profile, avoiding the login/logout routine.
Ok thank you...
Jim, with the teams or pro account - would I be able to plan a flight close to, but not into an authorization zone? does it show the zones on the map with pro or teams? I saw some type of Airmap integration mention for pro?
There is no functional difference between the account types, other than the team account allows you to resume missions across users. You can plan missions into no fly zones as long as you unlock them first in DJI GO / Fly. The Airmap integration is to the Hangar stuff, not their NFZ layers.
Thank you for that information!

Jim, if I wait for my first commercial job to surface, am I OK applying for a pro-account (with a different email address) at that time? The team account $50 per month is a little steep for me right now, since this is just a hobby so far...
Thank you,
Reuben
Pro or Team is fine for commercial.
