Drone Commands with no Takeoff?

Andrew Busst

Hi Jim

I'm not skilled enough to write "On The Fly" commands but I see on the Trello an improvement to load commands without takeoff has been implemented?

Do I have this right in that it means I could fly to a point with say DJI Fly or Dronelink under manual control. Then because the Mini is JPEG only, exposure is pretty critical, so I would want to set an exact exposure then say launch a horizontal or vertical pano sequence or 360.

Is there now a Command option that lets me make a plan to do that without having a "Takeoff" in the plan?

If so is there any info on that? Also would that be location sensitive or can you turn that off?

Many thanks

What was meant by that feature is: you can now have mission plans that have commands only (no motion), and the drone will not takeoff if you are sitting on the ground. This is useful for people that just want to use a mission plan to get their drone and camera setup the way they like and then manually fly.

    Ah I see Thank you.

Do you think there is any point in putting up a future request to able to plan a stop at any point of a plan (path, orbit, approach etc) that pauses the mission and allows you to set manual settings based on conditions (e.g exposure) then carry on the mission with those manually entered settings in play, or will that be too tricky?

    Cheers
