waypoints mavic mini
hello friends, I would like to ask you if you are making normal flight plans with your mavic mini, as I think about buying the mavic mini and don't even have an app that I can use to make flight plans to use in topography, and I saw a video about the dronelink app, I would like more information if you have already tested making a flight plan by taking a photo or recording a video with your mavic mini, you also have the option of using a map option that plans several points automatically and flies automatically in a planned area.

I just bought the Hobbyist and will try some map, orbit missions tomorrow with my M Mini. Crossing my fingers too, I'll post it back here if i'm successful or God forbid, crash my drone.
Also bought the Hobbyist account and made a repository for my MM. Paths in Dronelink for MM works great. Just have to be careful with the altitude and the gusts.
hello you use which system is ios or android and which phone? can you fly smoothly? please return to me if you were able to plan flights on a map because I intend to use it for topography. thank you
Yes, you can set up a map mission that will automatically have the drone fly over the area of interest with the coverage you specify. I just ran one today to map my property, it took about 20 minutes to set the mission up (was my first time making one) and ran it this morning without issue.
hello wow how good, and on this route you put commands for photo and filming during the flight plan? yes that was what I needed because I have not yet bought the mavic mini but I am seriously thinking of buying for ground mapping, photogrammetry for topography and in that case I think it would work, what do you think about it?
Yes, it took a photo roughly every 5 seconds on the flight path, but when you set it up it's based on coverage - so it takes a grid of photos with the specified overlap based on the camera sensor. With 3df zephyr I found 60% in front and 70% side overlap works for 3D reconstruction. Less than that and it had a hard time stitching trees, more than that and it takes a bunch of extra pictures without improving the quality.
I finally tried a mission made in the webapp, Orbit and placed one POI. You can watch the vid i made here: https://youtu.be/iJydd5xgZkY
Its jerky, it might be my phone or not i'll have to try again. I also made several missions with many waypoints, markers and POI's. which I haven't flown yet. One thing i noted based on the preview on the webapp was increasing the altitude from one waypoint to the next is abrupt. I have yet to find a way to smoothen the transition like a slow ascent. Also, from takeoff to the approach, you can set the drone heading, but when it meets the first marker or waypoint, it will turn quickly and jerk back to the correct heading. In between markers, you can set the interpolation to curved to smoothen the drone heading to the POI. It's been very windy here in my place and stirs up the dust, not good for flying. Oh, yes I'd love to do the mapping too, I have made the mission but haven't flown it yet.
