Can't Connect....what am I missing?

Paul McGuire

Me=Newbie needing HELP

Drone=Mavic Mini and Pro

Device=Android Samsung S9

1) Created an account and paid for a hobbyist plan. (And watched the 101 videos)

2) All seems well with account and web app running allowing flight plans.

3) Downloaded and installed native phone app.  All seems well with it seeing my account and flight plan.

4) The dronelink phone app shows "disconnected" when attempting to fly.

5) DJI and Litchi apps work just fine with this phone and apps. (Force Stopped these apps before calling up dronelink).

6) What am I missing here in regards to connecting?

    Did you grant all permissions?

    Same here. I didn't grant the phone permisson because I didn't expect it's required for a software like dronelink. Permisson granted, problem solved.

    Jim McAndrew If the user tips the "can't connect" maybe you could show some information about possible reasons (the phone permisson one isn't obvious I think). I tried to get an idea from the screen full of "unknown status" lines, but obviously that didn't help much :)

    I have a problem where I can't connect to the drone. I have a Pixel 5 with the latest updates (?). I found out through trial and error that I have to go into settings/apps and notifications/recently opened, and "Force Stop" the DJI Fly app before Dronelink can operate the aircraft (Mini 1) even though I quit the DJI Fly app already.

    Any quick tips on this?

    There is really no way around this, you cannot be running multiple flight apps at once. This is a DJI SDK limitation.

    It automatically asks you on first run after install. You may need to reinstall.

    Hi, I bought the Dronelink Basic package for my DJI Mini SE. My phone is a iPhone so I can't use it with Dronelink. I have 2 old Andoid phone. An Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android 5.0.1 and a LG-D852 with Android 6.0.

    I can't have any of those phone to work with Dronelink.

    With the Samsung, I start Dronelink, it connect to the drone, but the app crash everytime. I sent a report. On the first startup, it asked for all the grant and I gived all of them.

    With the LG, I tried many times but I can get it to connect to the drone. On the startup, it didn't ask me for the list of grant like the Samsong. Just a few question to autorize location, photo and phone.

    Both of those phone don't have data access, only wi-fi. I tried both at home.

    Any idea?

    I habe the same issue and as a complete newbie to Android devices I have no clue on how to grant required rights to the app. Can you help me with that?

    It automatically asks you when you first run it after installing.
