"Unable to take control" message in DJI fly safe blue authorization zone
I unlocked my Mavic Mini as usual using the DJI Fly app to allow it to fly where my property is, in a DJI blue authorization zone.
When switching to the Dronelink app on my Pixel 2, I was able to take off to a hover, then the mission execution gave me the message "unable to take control". I was able to fly the drone manually with the control sticks.
I also noticed a red "r" icon in the upper right corner of the app (red never being good), so I assume this is related to my issue.
Am I doing something wrong to get authorization to work with the Dronelink app, or is this a bug?
I confirmed that my drone could fly multiple times by switching back to the DJI Fly app, and repeatedly tried to use the Dronelink app with the same result; ending in a hover right after take off.
Also, is there a link explaining all of the features of the app?
Thanks

Did you have the drone flight mode in P before opening Dronelink?
You can see our tutorials here:

I just reconfirmed that it was, and still is, in P mode.
I realize that as a "hobby customer", I'm not entitled to technical support, but could you please indicate if one of the following statements applies to my situation;
Not trying to be difficult, but just wondering if there is any chance that Dronelink will work for my situation, because I really like the potential your system could provide.
Thank you
If you would like priority support, feel free to upgrade to the Pro plan. As far as the issue, it is not clear, but perhaps you left DJI Fly running in the background. You need to terminate it.
The app has a drill down status menu, where one item is "Radio Channel Quality" "Unknown".
There is also what looks like a red "R" radio wave icon in the upper right row of icons. I suspect these two indicators are linked to my issue.
It this possibly the problem, and is there something that I can do to fix?
I was already doing everything you suggested.
It isn't clear yet but Eric has our test unit and will try to reproduce the issue.
Just to complete my bug report, I tried again today with your latest native app. Here's the link to the mission, and I've attached screenshots.

Claude I am having same red r show up on mine and my missions aborted cause it was unable to connect, were you able to figure out what the red r is?
Scott, this link is where the situation remains.

Great thanks, hopefully it can get fixed soon! Think this app has some awesome potential for the mini. Plus we already paid for it. We will see.
From what I've seen in other discussion threads the red icon is obstacle avoidance which the mini does not have so it will always be red. It would be nice if there was a reference document for all the items that can appear on screen.
David thanks, that is helpful to know and makes sense.
