Dronelink Smart Controller Version and Features

Joel

IOS versions of Dronelink update regularly, and each update is accompanied by a list of new features and capabilities. With IOS, is also easy to tell what version of Dronelink is installed, as well as the update version.

To date, Smart Controller users need to go to the Dronelink Website to download the native Android app.  All well and good, but the Website where the APK is linked provides no information on version number, and there seem to be no notices if new versions are posted or whether any are planned for future release.

Given that new, feature-rich IOS versions continue to be released, is it the case that the new features listed are absent in the Android app?  If so, how far behind will the Android app get before it is eventually updated?  DJI continues to release more drone models with OccuSync, which makes the Smart Controller an increasingly important tool.

Thanks for any info you can share.

The Android version is always released at the same time as iOS, but you have to go download the APK manually since we aren't using the Google Play store for distribution right now (and that won't ever be an option on the smart controller).

The native app will tell you when a new version of the APK is available for download, and starting with v1.4.0, it will give you a direct link from the app. You can always tell which version you have through the in app hamburger menu in the top left (scroll down to the bottom).
