Smart Controller no longer works with Dronelink after recent firmware update
After successfully installing the new Smart Controller firmware, Google play services exits upon startup. I tried to re-install the latest of all of the components you need but the "Package Installer" stops immediately upon installation attempt. This is true for each of the apk items involved.
Please take a look into this.
Thanks.

Installed the new firmware and as you say, Google play services exits on startup, but it was already doing this before for me. Dronelink continues to operate just fine. Will attempt uninstall/reinstall tomorrow to check that path.
Unfortunately I removed all the extra apps after the upgrade intending to re-install the latest versions. Big mistake because the PACKAGE INSTALLER stops every time with every package. Nothing can be added or updated after the upgrade.
So, I ended up downgrading the smart controller to the prior firmware version. That was successful and now I can and was able to re-install everything without problems. I think it is best to complain and wait for a fix from DJI unless someone figures out how to work around the package installer problem.
Have you been able to see if your SC is exhibiting the same PACKAGE INSTALLER STOPPING problem?
I get the same error you do.
Jim,
I performed a "Factory Reset" removing everything. I also removed my SD card. At that point, I installed the latest version using the correct version of the DJI Assistant. It went to 100% completed without a problem. After that, I was able to re-install everything including Dronelink - no issues.
The moral of this story - just scratch everything: Factory reset, remove SD (if you have one - AND reformat it) then proceed with .650 upgrade and re-install everything you had before including the SD card. No problems at all.
Thanks for the update!
