Cardinal Directions Shots
I need to take shots around an orbit at certain points (8 compass points to be exact).
Currently I am just using the orbit as a guide and taking the shots manually without starting the mission.
Any way to automate this?

Not right now beyond a component like this:

I gave you a somewhat wrong idea in that the shots don't really have to be on real compass headings.
Just equally divided points on a circle. For the 8 shots one every 45 degrees.
So what I've done is place an orbit on the map for reference and overlaid it with a path with way points at where the shots need to be and markers to take the shots.
It's somewhat less than ideal in that if you need to change the radius you have to drag the way points out, but that is not too bad.
So my feature request would be enable/allow markers on an orbit.
I think it is more likely that this would come as a waypoint type (point, circle, etc). That way you are already in a path and it can take advantage of the fact that markers exist.
For now you could use an Orbit with a cleverly timed interval photo setting.
FYI - I get a JSON error about a missing begin randomly. I can restart the mission and then it runs ok.
What does free mean in gimbal mode command?
Been trying to track down the random GSON error for a while. It seems like there is no reliable way to reproduce it.
Free is for the Inspire (it stays in a direction regardless of drone heading).
Well I had it working well then the plan just start ignoring the POI and keeps the camera point ahead, at least in the preview.
Any idea why or how to fix it?
Answer: The magenta dotted line disappeared. Delete it and put a new one.
Link?
I already fixed it. The magenta line will be gone, delete it and add a new one. It's some kind of bug in the editor where a POI forgets something.
If it happens again, I will not fix it.
Post steps to reproduce if you figure it out.
