Mavic Pro - mapping. Camera Start Capture | Undefined error

Malcolm Bailey

I'm trying to run a very simple mapping using Dronelink on a Mavic Pro.

The latest issue is the camera doesn't seem to want to work...

  1. In DJI GO 4, set the camera to basic mode, i.e. just take a single photo every time the shutter is pressed.
  2. Start dronelink and load a mission that was setup through the web interface.
    Camera - Mavic Pro
    Capture mode - Photo
    Min Capture Interval - 2 3 or 4 seconds.
  3. The mission is a default Mapping/Normal rectangle about 100m from the take off point.
  4. Upon reaching the start point for the mapping the error [Camera Photo Interval | 3 seconds | Param Illegal] shows if the Min Capture Interval is 2 or 3 and the mission aborts.
  5. If the Min Capture Interval is 4 then an error of [Camera Start Capture | Undefined error] shows and the mission aborts.
  6. After trying this I again looked at the GO4 app, the camera mode had been set to 10s burst mode.

All Firmware, app and geo database are up to date.

Any suggestions on things I should change in the mission settings or in the Mavic settings?

Can you post a link to the mission plan?

This is one with a 4sec min-interval that fails as above.

I ran this mission with no errors. When the map started it set the camera into 10s interval mode (not burst). Note that the min capture interval of 4s in the mission plan is just a minimum. The actual capture interval is calculated based on a combination of the overlap, altitude, max speed, and min capture interval. My only guess as to why the 2s min capture interval didn't work for you is because you had it set to capture JPEG + RAW, which can't capture at that rate.

That seems to have done the trick. In a brief pause of rain I managed to give this a try with it just set to JPEG and all was fine with the mission above. FWIW It also was fine on the 2sec min mission. Thanks!

Out of interest, how could you tell that I was previously on J+R, are the drones settings uploaded automatically to your servers?

    It was a guess.
