Mapping and obstacle avoidance

James Kneebone

When conducting a mapping mission, is obstacle avoidance automatically enabled? How can I confirm it is enabled?

Obstacle avoidance is a enabled/disabled at the firmware level on the drone. Dronelink does not change the setting that you choose prior to the mission.

Hi Jim, does that mean if I go into the dji go4 app and set the drone (mavic 2) to tripod mode then close the app and open yours, that my dronelink mission will run with full front, back and both sides avoidance? (I understand the side sensors are mono so they will not react to high speeds like the stereoscopic front and rear sensors).... Thanks in advance

The DJI SDK only allows virtual stick control in P mode (not sport, tripod, f, atti, etc).

I have a M2P and during a facade test I noticed that the front sensors do not function, How is it possible?

Before I started the mission I first tested the sensors in front of the building to be sure it works!

It was to close to the facade I had to abort the mission.
