Takeoff straight up 7m to get Precision landing

Hakon Lislebo
I noticed on my mapping flights where I take off and land automatically that the precision landing did not work. I guess this is because the drone is turning while rising before it reaches 7m agl and thus not able to capture the landing site properly. Is there a way to make it fly up to a certain height before turning? If I turn of automatic heading in the first destination component it does, but it will keep flying with that heading as well.

Would require an update to the flight controller at a low level. Other option is to manually takeoff and fly to 7m and then engage.

I often do engage automated flight after takeoff, but find it convenient to automate everything if I could. I guess I can just have a destination component close to takeoff and disable automatic orientation for that one before moving towards the real destination.

    Thanks for answering!

Voted for.  Use precise takeoff all the time.

I tested my workaround in the post above and it worked.
