Help needed attemping "simple" mission
I am trying to create a relatively simple flight, but I'm struggling to figure out how to get Dronelink to do this.
Objective: Travel from point 1 to point 2 (about 300 ft apart) While traveling from point 1 to point 2, look at POI 1 the entire time. Point 1 is 12 ft altitude. Point 2 is 120 ft altitude. I would like the drone to gradually rise in altitude starting a point 1, and hit 120 ft at point 2.
I have experimented with a Path, waypoints, and destinations. I am unable to figure out how to coerce Dronelink into doing the above mission.

Have you looked at some of the mission plans available in the public repositories? For example, the Neuschwanstein Castle mission plan does this exact behavior at the start:

Thanks, Jim! That's exactly what I was looking for and solved my mission!
Awesome product!
Sticking my nose in 😂 but I’m trying to work on the same thing, start simple and then start adding.
im going through all the dronelink concept videos and making notes, to that end I've simplified your plan above as follows , hope it helps with regards to the components etc that need to be added and to do what and when...
Take off point? (Which could be point 1 or add an ‘approach’ from Take off to get to point 1)
Then,
At point 1, Elevate to 12’
Camera direction 180 deg to point2?
Travel diagonally (elevate AND horizontal)
Distance of 300’
to point 2 @ 120'
Is this the way to 'list' the sequence of the plan?
Maybe you could create a plan and post the link so we can see what you really mean by example?
😂 absolutely in hand Jim - loving the structure of dronelink . . .
Here’s the direct link to me effort - incomplete though after 2 hours!!!

just cannot get the drone to point back at dest 1, expecting to use heading to no avail.
Just not as intuitive as ide hoped!
Not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish. The original post was about using a POI in a Path component. Are you wanting to do something else?
My mistake, I misunderstood POI 1 as to be looking back at POINT 1 whilst travelling tp point 2.
i tried to achieve something using destinations, but i now see that he wants the drone to be rising diagonally from point 1 to point 2 whilst looking eg at a POI .
So having tried myself, I now understand Craig’s dilemma - I think we need a little more guidance please Jim, thanks
Just to be clear, I no longer have a dilemma. A portion of the mission that Jim pointed me to has exactly what I was looking for and works.
Use waypoints with markers to point the POI and to set your altitude.
