Import kml. file from Google Earth?

Parkgt

We can export to Google Earth to view paths.

It would be nice to be able to import paths from Google Earth to DL append an approach to them and then modify in other ways to create a mission.

I imagine what I am asking is not easy, if even possible with current coding; but I thought I would ask.

It is already on the roadmap and we intend to implement it soon. If you have any example KML files you want us to use during development please attach them here.

    Jim,

That is great to hear.  Being able to use GEP's path  set "relative to ground" and then bring that into DL will open a lot of interesting possibilities.

Have a few example files you want to make sure we support?

Here is one example.  This one had the "extend to ground" feature selected to allow checking for terrain interference.  Do not know if that will mess things up.

Looking at allowing import into an existing plan, and also thinking about providing a confirmation dialog that allows you to select which features to import, and which type of component to generate from each feature. For example, Polygons might default to Map, but allow you to change it to Path.

Where did the import button go?

    Found it.

When not in plan right click and select more options.

There, under advanced, you will find the import function.
