Mavic2 jerky waypoint issue solved at last!
The firmware update just released by DJI fixed their issue with jerky waypoints. This was a problem with any flight automation software.
The quick footage I just took with Dronelink to confirm this showed the defect is finally put to bed.
By using the "Curved" interpolation settings easing/ramping transitions in and out I was able to get some extremely smooth footage.
Can't wait to have more time to put DL and the M2P through their paces now that DJI has finally corrected the defective WPs.
I don't think flight automation in a portable solution can get much better than a M2P running Dronelink!

It doesn't appear to solve the issue for me. The SDK reports the difference between the gimbal and the aircraft heading accurately, so I am considering adding a work-around to just offset the yaw of the aircraft by the difference to prioritize framing over maintaining and exact aircraft heading. Obviously if the drift becomes too much you may get landing gear in the frame but it seems like the best we can do until DJI acknowledges and fixes the issue.
That sounds like a good solution in the interim. Let me know if you need me to test it.
We have a potential fix for the gimbal drift issue on dev (Build 53) - if you could test it that would be great!
OK - I just saw this. I have to charge batteries so hopefully, I can get that done before it gets dark :)

Just ran it. I'm uploading the video now but it looked much better. Not 100%, but then I don't think Litchi is 100% either. I'm nitpicking now. Certainly, for the most part, the house stayed mostly where I would expect it.
I'll post the video once it has finished uploading so that you can see for yourself.
On a different note. I seem to recall seeing that a request to upload to Airdata automatically had been closed out. Does that mean it works? I couldn't seem to find the function.

Glad to hear that the framing was better. Was the gimbal itself inline with the aircraft heading (either after visual inspection or by looking at the compass widget)?

Sorry - I didn't check the compass while flying. After it landed it was slightly off to the side - the opposite side to previous flights for some reason - and it then slowly corrected when on the ground.

I see the option (in the web app right?) and have entered my token, but nothing seems to happen. Do I need to do something first?
It should just work (once you open the native app on a device with flight logs). If you are not seeing a notification about uploaded flights start a new bug report thread.
I guess I was too impatient - the logs have shown up now.

Do I need to download a new package for the smart controller or does it update when online? I’m in Utah and would like to test both issues (gimbal drift and erratic movements) with a few missions here.
It should auto-update.
ok I tried it. Looks like jerky motion is pretty much gone. Its hard to tell completely since there was a little wind.
The gimbal drift issue appears to be sporadic. will share info back on main thread
