A "Real" Active Track
DJI had a good idea, but I don't think they completely thought it through.
One thing I'd like to do is conduct a walking narration, or perhaps an interview, and have the drone fly along.
"Follow" is useless -- you need the drone in front of you. DJI claims their active track will lead, but it doesn't.
"Profile" comes closer. You can move the drone to be, say East of you, and then as you move, it will stay East of you. Trouble is, if you start moving West, it's filming your back again.
What I'm suggesting is a mode where you set a BEARING on your direction of movement. Directly in front of you, or bearing zero degrees, or at your 12 o'clock, would be a very common example.
But as you change the direction you are walking, the drone figures out where you are heading, and moves to get/stay in front of you.
Also, it needs some code to properly maintain its altitude relative to the subject. DJI doesn't do this very well.
And it should have a range setting as well.
This is a biggie, but it would be another feature to really set Dronelink apart from everyone else.

Sounds like you are describing classic follow mode from Autopilot. Have you tried it?
Autopilot? No, that was before my drone days (or is it still in use?)
But no, for such filming at present, I use the DJI Profile mode, and manually manage the "clock" position.
Is there an Autopilot version running on Android? I wish I Autopilot working with the M2 essentially for its awesome Airspace/follow implementation. Completely unchallenged by anything out there and I agree with the "Active Track" implementation being rather useless let alone that one needs to wear a high contrast shirt or jacket for the darn thing to have a chance to track someone.

No M2 No Android.
Have not done an IOS release since 8/2018.
If you click Beta Test they mention Android so perhaps it is in the works.
