Altitude option to be set to AGL rather than just relative to launch point.

 

Ability to fly a path with manual control of speed (using RC stick).  Examples:  May want to define a path around a dirt bike track or running trail where a predetermined speed would not frame a subject moving at an unknown or changing speed. 

 

"cable cam" ability.  Fly to a spot a frame a scene, fly to another and frame a scene; capture and save these points.  This could be a stand alone mission or the start of a more complex mission.  This framing is more exact than any pre-planned.    Couple of examples below.

Some places are not covered well by current satellite images.  A new subdivision for example or pipeline project through a featureless forest.  In those cases the maps are of little help in establishing a starting point for a plan. It would be useful to capture a few points of reference and then use them to go back and develop a more robust mission.

    For sure.  Especially when using Open Street Maps and not Google.  Perhaps figure out how Litchi can use Google Maps and make that happen if possible.

    Google is behind as well, though nothing like OSM or Apple maps.  For serious development and construction work, there is rarely recent enough map imagery to precisely plan. Perhaps consider the ability for the user to upload a geo-tiff (if they have one of course, say from a previous mission.) that can be used in mission planning.  This would be huge.  Map Pilot has this ability, but it's implementation is not user friendly.  I believe Drone Deploy was working on this as well.

    Good to see you over here Dave.  I really think DL is going to develop into a very powerful useful tool.  I have really enjoyed trying to figure it out.  Working on some neat plans I have yet to fly.

    Did not see on the Road Map the ability to manually control the speed of the drone with right stick while executing plan?

    Really a needed feature in many scenarios, S&R I think would really like this.

    Mentioned it in a comment on the Road Map.  Need a way to stop and hover for a set period of time before moving on.

    I do have the same situation like Dave,  the map doesn't reflect what's current/recent ... Google maps has the same issues ..

    Is it possible to manually or via a component to Fly/create a land survey mission..then have that available to use as a map for mission creation? ps I love this app ..it is definitely poised to be a game-changer ...
