Altitude above actual ground

Glynrdav

I don't see an option to set the altitude relative to the ground at that waypoint. this is very useful in hilly areas?

is it there and I have missed it?

This is on the roadmap, which we will be publishing soon. Any particular way you would prefer to see it implemented?

What are the options being considered?

It would be nice if the actual AGL using elevation data implementation allows some "safety buffer" value to be applied for planning. In addition the COMPETE path between path components is tested and flagged or acted upon (if needed) for not violating that safety buffer altitude.

Good question.  I'd like to add to it.

Will the drone respond to manual input from the controller while flying a mission in "verification" mode?

The verifications are like any other mission, if you want to take over you need to flip the flight mode switch.

With no way to set RTG atititude, is there a way to set each waypoint atititude as required?  I love this program however I fail to see why an important setting such as RTG attitude cannot be achieved especially when planning a mission over hills etc.

Waypoints don't control altitude just the path.  Drop a marker where you want to change altitude and then pick Altitude and set as desired.

"You use a Command Component in your Mission Plan called Drone Return Home Altitude."

"Like all other Drone and Camera settings, if you don't change them in Dronelink (either through the UI or through a command), then they will remain set to whatever they were set to before you opened Dronelink. This is why we have components like Camera Settings Reset and Drone Settings reset in our core repos. The mindset is that you want to ensure the Drone and Camera are in the exact state you want them to be in for every single mission. You do the hard work of defining these components once, and then you just drop them in all your plans going forward knowing it will be perfect every time.

    Keep this in mind.

"Dronelink uses a custom flight controller running on the mobile device, meaning it will RTH if it loses signal. "

I don't think you will have much success trying to get missions to progress when the signal is blocked by intervening terrain.
