Select a takeoff location for new plan

Johnny Duncan
This is my first time using DroneDeploy, and I’m having trouble right at the start. I’m trying to create a map using my Mavic 3 Enterprise, but I’m stuck on the part where I need to set the takeoff location. On my RC controller, it’s showing me a giant map of the United States, but it hasn’t pinpointed where I am. I don’t see any option to type in my location, and there’s no button to automatically find me. Am I supposed to scroll through the entire map manually to find my location? I’ve watched the tutorial videos, and they seem to show a way to type in your location, but I don’t see that option anywhere on my controller. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Right now, the drone has no idea where I am, and I’m completely stuck at this first step. Can someone guide me through this? I just want to get past this and start mapping

I’m sure you mean Dronelink since this is their forum. You may be using the mobile app which is for running the missions. The Web app is what is used to create and edit your plans with a supported browser. You can use a PC or Laptop with a large screen as well which will be much easier then a small screen. I suggest going through the DL support section which has a ton of help. Once you are using the web app go to the bottom right corner and tap on the location Icon and it will find your current location.
