missions failing or unable to start with Mini 3 pro
I am using the following:
- Mini 3 Pro - latest firmware
- RC-N1 - latest firmware
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 64GB - fully updated. One UI 6.1, Android 14
- DroneLink v4.9.4 (295) Kernel 4.9.4
This was working very well until about a week ago. Now when I try to fly a mission I get inconsistent performance. Usually I get one of the following 3 issues:
1. Unable to take control - after starting the mission, the drone launches and hovers for a while. Then it tells me that it is unable to take control. The Switch on the controller is always on Normal mode when this happens.
2. Mission pauses and then drone camera acts erratically - in this case the mission starts and goes well for a little while. At some point (usually 20-40% into the mission, it pauses and tells me it is off course (even though it seems to be pretty close to on course). If I resume the mission, the drone spins and the the camera pitches up and down for a while - as if it is looking for something. After a minute or so, the mission pauses again. I am unable to complete the mission and have to manually fly it home.
3. The drone launches and starts the mission. During its initial ascent, the tablet becomes very unresponsive. none of the on screen buttons seem to work and the telemetry is only updating ever minute or so. I hit the pause mission button and it takes at least a minute to actually pause the mission. Then I have to fly it home manually.
What's weird is that this was all working well until about a week ago. I am wondering if this is a software issue or if there is an issue with the tablet.
Any thoughts on how I could begin to troubleshoot this?

it seems that I have been able to coax it into starting the mission if I first launch the DJI fly app, get satellite connection and set the home point, then close the DJI fly app and launch dronelink.
I'm not sure if that is just coincidence or if there is some logic behind that.
Is it the same thing as this? https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/33052990089747
J'ai eu la même chose seulement sur une mission.
Pour le moment, tout semble refonctionner correctement.

Thank you for your reply but I do not speak French. Could you translate to English?
Jim - thanks for the reply. That could be the same issue but there are several foreign language posts in there which I am unable to read.
Jim chatGPT to the recue. I used it to translate the posts and, yes this seems to be the same issues that I am experiencing. Have you had any luck pinning down the issue?
I have a paid job coming up n about a week that I will need a working version of Dronelink for
We will post any updates to the other thread.

good to know that chrome does the translation. I generally use Safari or Brave and they don't seem to have any built in translation.
