Dronelink Connection to Drone
I've purchased Dronelink on july 2024, thinking i am going to be able to use this with Mini 3 Pro with Android device. I've done everything possible, read all the docs done all the possible options and never able to connect my drone to dronelink to test my first mapping. I've spend hours and nothing worked.
I've moved over to Mavic Pro Platinum with android device and did everything again. Still having dronelink to connect to drone itself. No matter what i've done, nothing worked.
After a few months of struggling, and never able to use the product I've requested refund today. I've been told refund can be only process after 2 weeks of purchase.
Well, here I am writing to figure out, if anyone can help.
Again, dont refer me to documents since I've done all possible options, tried everything. Read all the threads. Nothing worked for me. What else i can do? Stuck with a software that i cant even use.
Btw, i am not new to drones. I've been flying for 7 years. Certified in US, UK, Canada, Australia, Turkey and Europe. Totaling 36 countries.

You have already gone through every one of these steps? https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052025194-Why-is-Dronelink-unable-to-connect-to-my-drone
Yes. Multiple times.
What controller are you using with Mini 3 Pro?
Android phone (Galaxy Note 9) with proper dronelink app from the website. Software version (N960USQU1ARG6)
I don't recognize that version code. Can you provide this set of details for each drone:
And...this is probably obvious but, you can connect the drone using the DJI Fly app, right?
Hi Tolga. It wasn’t really clear but you stated you tried connecting your Mavic Pro Platinum as well. The Mini 3’s and the Mavic Pro series use different DL mobile app versions/ flavor and each will not work with the other. The Mavic Pro series uses the “Dronelink” app. The Mini 3’s use the “Dronelink DJI” app. So you should have two seperate DL apps on your Android device. So make sure you are opening the correct version for each drone. If it is the correct version for the correct drone then I’d also make sure you properly Force closed/ stopped the DJI app in the Android devices app settings. I’d also make sure no other Dronelink app is still running in the background as well whether it’s the Dronelink or Dronelink DJI version. No other app regardless of what it is should still be running. About 99% of the time it’s one or both of these issues, (version and/ or app still running in background) I’d try one drone at a time with the correct version / flavor for the drone and make sure that no other app is still running in the background. I’m sending the direct link from that other article above on how to properly force close/ stop all other apps. Just Swiping up will not work. I realize it indicates the DJI Pilot app with a controller with a built in screen but the process is the same. A lot of pilots using the Mavic Pro series as well as the Mini 3’s for a long time and they connect and work.

Ok, thanks for everyone jumping in and trying to help here.
Let me make thing a bit more clearer.
Mike, yes I've tried 2 different drones (Mini 3 Pro with Dronelink DJI App) and (Mavic Pro with Dronelink App). So on both cases;
Mini 3 Pro runs DJI Fly App without a problem and i do "force kill" the app and launch Dronelink DJI App App, after logging in, the drone never connects to Dronelink App and forwards me to documents on troubleshooting which i've done.
Mavic Pro runs DJI Go 4 app without a problem and I do "force kill" the app and launch DroneLink App and same problem above.
On both cases, not to muddy waters, i actually remove the other Dronelink app so there is no confusion. So when i am trying Mini 3 Pro, i delete Dronelink App and only use Dronelink DJI App, and vice versa when trying on Mavic Pro.
To be honest, i want to resolve this issue eliminating to single drone.
I would like to fix this on Mavic Pro.
Now let me give more details on the variables.
I am using Samsung Galaxy Note9 as my Android Device. It is running Android version. 8.1.0 (kernel 4.9.65-13931267 gcc version 4.9.x 20150123
DJI Go 4 v4.3.60 (1198-official)
DJI Mavic Pro Platinum Aircraft 01.04.0500
RC App 4.3.60
RC Aircraft 01.04.0500
Fly Safe Database Aircraft and App 01.00.01.34
Basic Fly safe database 01.00.01.09
DroneLink App version 4.9.3 (295) Kernel 4.9.4
Maybe my issue is, my premium account not supporting this drone or something like that. From a configuration stand point, i should be good to go.
I hope someone on this form can help. Thanks in advanced.
I really wanted to use DroneLink for good and hoping to get there.
Tolga
I am hoping
The Mavic Pro will ultimately require Elite, but that shouldn't prevent connection.
Have you tried a different Android device? Android 8 is relatively ancient.
Jim, no i did not try any other device. Is it possible to enable Elite in my account for a trial period, if this works. I am willing to upgrade my plan for sure. Is there an option? Thanks.
To be clear, you don’t even need a paid account to test connection and device performance: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/16522882253715-How-to-check-if-my-device-will-work-well-with-the-Dronelink-app-before-purchasing-an-account
There is no functional difference from a code standpoint with regard to accepting connections between the various plans. Once the drone connects, it will tell you that you need to upgrade though.
got it. thanks
Do you at least have access to another Android device (hopefully more modern) you can borrow for a quick test? If that still doesn’t work, it honest sounds like 4 or 8 from this list: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052025194-Why-is-Dronelink-unable-to-connect-to-my-drone
Thank you. I'll find something or purchase from the list.
