Matrice 30T doubling back on itself during mapping mission
Hello,
I'm currently conducting transect mapping surveys using the M30T zoom lens (x5). We have had overlap issues in the past when using this zoom camera, so our overlap settings are set really high (front 90% and side 85%). Even then our side overlap tends to still be an issue. Recently we tested out a bunch of different settings to try and improve our overlap and found that the M30T seemed to be doubling back on itself after each completed leg and then jumping forward to start a new leg - so it's turning left the entire time. On the screen it seems to be following the transect normally, and we've had it behave normally in the past - so we're unsure what is going on.
We're curious if there are any other people that have experienced this issue before.
Thanks!

Can you share the mission plan?
Sure! I sent it via the support email. Thank you for your help!
Just to duplicate what was sent via email:
We also did some more digging last night and found a previous post (copied below) that we think might be explaining what is happening. Using the lat and long from our images, we were able to determine that the drone itself is indeed following our set path. So the only explanation we have is that the gimbal itself is tilted and therefore it looks like it's doubling back on itself when it really isn't. When this has happened in the past, do you happen to know if it was consistent in this glitch? We're in a remote part of Alaska right now and while the internet works, we aren't able to mosaic our images at the moment to see if this will affect our end product. We downloaded the newest version of Dronelink a couple weeks ago before coming out here.

Unfortunately this is a bug in the M30 firmware that we are not able to correct for in software, which is part of the reason why the M30 is only unofficially supported.
Okay, that is indeed unfortunate. We'll check our images for all the flights in our mission to determine if that's a consistent glitch or not. Thank you for your help!
