Force stopping Fly

steven burnett
The second time I flew yesterday, I went to apps and did a force stop on Fly, before I powered on the drone or RC. But when I powered them on, Fly still came up. So do you have to force stop Fly AFTER you're connected?

If you go down to the bottom section of the link I’m sending you will see “how to prevent the DJI app from launching on startup” on an Android device. I again suggest you go through much of the help articles and tutorial videos. I know there is a ton of them and it may take a lot of time but it’s well worth it. Enjoy.

I know I could prevent Fly from being the default app, but I don't want to do that right now. That link doesn't seem to talk about the RC-N1.

To force stop apps on android

    Go to settings and apps

Scroll down and select dji fly, and click on force stop

Personally all I use DJI fly for is firmware updates, all my flying is done using Dronelink, but I don't have it or anything else set as the default

Force stopping the app has nothing to do with the RC-N1 controller. It’s the device which controls this so same process. Android OS devices settings may look a bit different due to so many different manufactures but you will need to go into the settings every time unless you change it. Anytime you power on the device it will start up. This is why I sent the link which indicates also on how to change it as well.

I have the RC Pro. For Fly app to not interfere after a cold boot, I have to force stop before shutting down.
If I don't ensure Fly is force stopped before shutdown, Fly will sort of run(and interfere), and I am able to force stop it even though I cannot switch to it.

The state it gets to is different than launch on start. It's like a "half resume what your were running before shutdown" state.
    It's pretty annoying.

That's one of the problems with that controller, and why you need to follow this procedure https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/13139796197011-How-properly-close-the-DJI-Pilot-App-on-Remote-Controllers-with-Screens-DJI-monitors give me my RC-N1 and my galaxy tab 7FE any day
